Frequently asked questions
Can I take Florida pest control CEUs online?
Yes. FDACS approves online continuing education courses for Chapter 482 license renewal. Every Pest Education course is FDACS-approved for its category, runs in a browser on any device, and emails your completed FDACS-13325 attendance form when you pass.
How many CEU hours does a Florida certified operator need?
2 hours of Core plus 2 hours in each category on the certificate, every year (Fla. Stat. §482.111(10)). That is 4 hours for one category and up to 10 hours for all four: General Household Pest, Lawn & Ornamental, Termite/WDO, and Fumigation.
When is my renewal due?
Certified operators renew on the anniversary of the certificate's issue date, effective July 1, 2024 under ch. 2024-137. The old uniform June 1 deadline no longer applies. Technicians renew on the licensee's anniversary date, which FDACS sets per licensed business location. You can look up your date on our renewal lookup page.
Can one course count for two categories?
Generally no. Each course is approved for a specific FDACS category, so you need a course for each category you hold. The Lawn & Ornamental course is the exception for Limited Lawn & Ornamental holders: the FDACS-13325 records the hours under both Commercial and Limited Lawn & Ornamental.
What score do I need to pass, and can I retake the quiz?
You need 75% on the final quiz, the passing score for every Chapter 482 category under Rule 5E-14.113. Retakes are unlimited and free, and your best passing attempt is the one that counts.
How do I report the hours to FDACS?
When you pass, we email your completed FDACS-13325 Record of Attendance and save it to your dashboard. Every field is filled in from your enrollment. Upload it through the FDACS online renewal portal at aeslicensing.fdacs.gov, or mail it to FDACS with your renewal.
Can I take the course on my phone?
Yes. The course runs in any modern browser on a phone, tablet, or computer. Your progress is saved to your account, so you can start on one device and finish on another.
